video ‘<33chimes’ is a video performance and electroacoustic composition comprised exclusively from processed recordings of windchimes and heart monitors.

Inspired by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye’s ‘Condor and The Mole’, the poetic element of ‘<33chimes’ reflects on the power of childhood memories as a timeless and untouchable source of refuge.  

In the video, I attempt to find the words of the poem within the pages of an unconnected text, visualising the capacity of memories to appear well beyond the space-time of their original conception.
