An ink droplet finds itself lost in a papery landscape & attempts, impossibly, to find its way back.

Inspired by Doreen Massey’s conception of space as a temporally dynamic & inherently relational medium, ‘inky with it’ is an enquiry into the presence of such a space within & beyond the perimeters of a notated score. The piece is structured around an original poetic triptych composed of three retellings of the droplet’s experience.
